What is Transform?

Transform is the final puzzle piece to the Shorecrest campus: creating more than 60,000 square feet of new facilities, reimagining the lower campus to align with our Strategic Plan.

The Innovation Center and Community Commons at Shorecrest will serve as a meeting place for students of all ages, strengthening our community. The inside and outside spaces of the Innovation Center are designed to flow seamlessly. The building will house The Experiential School classrooms, a kitchen and dining hall, the Experiential and Lower School Media and Innovation Center, the Clinic, the Technology and Resource Center, Music Lab, Art Studio, and even a dedicated space for our Shorecrest Community Association (SCA).

Outside, the Commons is designed with areas for gardens, outdoor theatres, and a gathering space where our smallest children can see the biggest Chargers, and the older students can become mentors, role models, and playmates to the younger students. Inventive playscapes will provide the opportunity for creativity, physical play, and imagination in the beautiful Florida outdoor environment, allowing our youngest children to mix, mingle, play, interact, and begin their lives as inquiry based explorers, researchers, inventors, and doers.

Our outstanding faculty will now also have a setting to do creative, innovative and collaborative work. For the first time, teachers at all grade levels will have a place to gather for lunch and break periods. The Dining Hall, with its expanded lunch menu and coffee shop, will become the magnet for colleagues throughout the day.

There's a space for volunteers too! The second floor will provide space for SCA to maintain the Helping Hands Program and conduct small group meetings. The Community Café, a conference room and office space for the Physical Education teachers will also be located in this area.

This new space will bring our community together, from the youngest students to the oldest students; parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, family, faculty; a shared space for everyone to gather, learn, collaborate, share meals, create community.
